ISABEL OCHOA-YOUSSEF (Intro To Spanish; Conversational Spanish) hails from Brooklyn, New York, and attended Brooklyn College.  For most of her thirty year career Isabel worked for the Department of Education in Brooklyn.  She holds master's degrees in Bilingual Education and in Health Science.  Isable is a New York state certified K-12 teacher.  She has two sons that continue to be educators in New York while she enjoys her retirement in Florida.  Currently, Isabel spends her time volunteering with Aging Matters in Brevard, mentoring students in Brevard County schools, and participating in TRIF, a retired group of teachers.  She has joined Toastmasters International in an effort to to improve her public speaking skills. When she is not volunteering, Isable likes to travel to new and exciting places. "Being a part of Shepherd's Center-Beachside has rewarded me with many new friends and a better understanding of my native language, Spanish."
